Business need and product selection
Start with the workload rather than a product list. Running an existing application on a virtual machine calls for Compute Cloud; storing files through an API calls for Object Storage; managing container applications calls for Managed Service for Kubernetes. Server backup has a separate Cloud Backup scope. Managed databases and analytics tools such as DataLens address different needs; they are not different names for the same service.
Planning record
Pre-quotation record: application and owner; current CPU/RAM and disk measurements; daily data change; user locations; network dependencies; acceptable data loss and downtime; backup retention; budget and target date. Do not include existing passwords, keys or customer data.
Does Türkiye partnership mean the data is stored in Türkiye?
No. Quad's Türkiye partnership and the physical region of a cloud resource are separate matters. Region, contracting entity, available services, data location, access and support responsibilities are clarified for each project. No local data centre or uninterrupted-service commitment is made without checking product features, billing conditions and current service status.
Match product families to your needs
Compute, storage and backup have different roles. Managed databases, DataLens, Smart Web Security, IAM and Cloud Functions are separate product families too. Verify current scope and regional availability in the official service catalogue.
