Working and storage region selection announced for Cloudflare Workflows
Source announcement date: 2026-10-27 · News/event date: 2026-10-27
Cloudflare announced the option to limit Workflows workflows to a specific jurisdiction in an October 27 update. The feature that defines the region where workflow instances run and store data is relevant to corporate automations that require data residency.

Scope of the announcement
The supported options are eu, us and fedramp. A Workflow jurisdiction is selected at creation and cannot subsequently be changed. If an existing Workflow has a different jurisdiction from the configuration, deployment tools stop before uploading the Worker. Wrangler 4.152.0 or later is required.
This is not a claim that an entire system automatically complies with the legislation. The scope of the announcement is limited to the operation and data of Workflows instances; Data flows of other services used are also evaluated.
Quad Bilişim commentary
In automation, visibility into where data is processed is as important as business logic. The region being fixed at the time of creation shows that this decision cannot be treated as a simple change of preference later.
